Ascension
Acts 1:1-11

Big Idea
- The ascension gives us full access to the love of Christ.
Convincing Proofs
- God made it possible, through Luke, for people who are seeking Jesus to learn of Him. Colossians 4:14
- In Acts we see both the cost and reward of living by God’s Spirit.
Promised
- Before we go and make, we have to go and wait. Matthew 28:18-20; John 16:7-13
- Jesus had something other than nationalism in mind. Revelation 7:9
Receive
- If we knew the time and date of Jesus’ return we wouldn’t need to wait on Him.
- We’re able to be Christ’s witnesses.
Looking
- We can experience the reality of the ascension by obeying Christ.
- Waiting means praying.

Unity
Ephesians 4:1-16

Big Idea
- Unity reveals the gospel.
The Call
- Our call is to unconditional mutual ministry. Ephesians 4:1-3
- Unity is impossible to self-generate. Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8; 4:4-5
Gifts
- Christ freely measures out gifts. Ephesians 4:7
- To ignore our unique gift is to ignore the Giver. Psalm 68; Ephesians 4:8
Fullness
- To equip means to set right. Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 4:11-12
- Unity increases by faith. Ephesians 4:13
A Better Word
- We can trade immature individualism for mature clarity and stability. Ephesians 4:14
- We become ourselves by living to benefit each other. Ephesians 4:15-16

Christ-Centered
1 Corinthians 1:18-31

Big Idea
- Being Christ-centered means we find our righteousness and wisdom in Him.
Frustrated
- Are we willing to become really messy? Proverbs 14:4; 1 Peter 2:9
- Healthy order occurs by focusing on the primary message of the church. Isaiah 29:14; 1 Corinthians 1:18-19
Foolish
- There's nothing a "wise person" can teach us that compares to what Christ has done for us on the cross! 1 Corinthians 1:20, 25
- We can end up a long ways away from the Shepherd. Isaiah 53:6; Matthew 12:39-40; Romans 1:18-20; 1 Corinthians 1:20-21; Philippians 4:12
Called
- The power of God draws us, and the wisdom of God leads us! 1 Corinthians 1:23-24; Galatians 2:20
- The weakness of God confronts the insanity of our rebellion against Him. 1 Corinthians 1:25; 1 John 4:18
Think Of…
- Christ frees us from fear so that we can love. 1 Corinthians 1:26-28
- Let's be show offs of Jesus. Jeremiah 9:24; Acts 2:42-47; 1 Corinthians 1:28-31
